Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw is hiring for the role of Communications/Economic Development Officer.

“This is the position that was approved in the 2022 Budget by City Council to support the Downtown Moose Jaw Association efforts and Indigenous engagement, both of which are integral components of our Strategic Plan,” explained Jim Puffalt, City Manager. “We have adjusted the job description to support the talented people on our Economic Development Team who have been contributing to these goals and will assume advanced responsibilities.”

The Communications/Economic Development Officer will perform a broad range of duties to assist the City’s Communications department and Economic Development team, with an emphasis on writing, digital storytelling skills and Indigenous engagement along with Jim Dixon, Manager of Economic Development.

“In conjunction with this revised position, we’ve promoted Craig Hemingway to Manager of Communications/Stakeholder Relations,” Puffalt continued. “He will still oversee Communications/Marketing/Branding and will take on an enhanced role with the Economic Development team by assuming marketing duties with the Downtown Moose Jaw Association.  He will further engage and assist external stakeholders interested in growing and promoting the City of Moose Jaw.”

Applications for the Communications/Economic Development Officer role will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27. To view the job description, click here.
