City Facilities Update for National Truth And Reconciliation Day September 30

MOOSE JAW – Thursday, September 30 is the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.

In recognition, some City facilities and services will not be in service.

City Hall: Closed.

Transit: No service.

Waste Collection: Zones 7&8 (as scheduled).

Recycling Collection: Zone 5 (as scheduled).

Sanitary Landfill: Open 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (last load in at 7:45 p.m.)

Kinsmen Sportsplex: Open regular hours*.

Yara Centre: Open regular hours*.

Mosaic Place: Box office open 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and ice is open for reservations as scheduled.

Moose Jaw Public Library: Closed.

Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery: Office is closed but Gallery is open 1pm-5pm.

At the regular meeting of City Council Monday, September 13, City Council  unanimously approved a resolution for the City to support activities of the Wakamow Aboriginal Community Association (WACA) on September 30 (see images below for event details).

Flags at City Hall will be lowered to half-mast and the City Hall clock tower light will be orange on September 30 in recognition of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
