City Crews Responding to Freezing Rain Conditions
The City of Moose Jaw advises residents that crews have been actively addressing icy conditions caused by overnight freezing rain.
Sanding operations by our Roadways crews began at approximately 2:00 a.m. on December 9, and the day shift is continuing ice control efforts across the city. Current forecasts indicate that snowfall could miss Moose Jaw, however, staff are monitoring weather conditions closely as light snow is expected later this week.
At this time, we do not anticipate declaring a Snow Event. City crews will continue to respond as needed, and we will keep residents informed should conditions change.
The City is also reminding the public to take advantage of the Snow Centre for timely updates on winter operations this season. The Snow Centre reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to responsive service delivery, transparent communication, and public safety during Moose Jaw’s challenging winter months. Visit the ‘Snow Centre’ here, or on the free City of Moose Jaw app.
