MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw continues to monitor and respond to winter weather conditions to keep roads and sidewalks safe for residents.

Approximately 1 cm of snow fell in the city on Wednesday, however, accumulation on roadways was minimal due to strong winds. City crews are continuing with weather related operations:

  • Sanding trucks have sustained ice control efforts throughout the city since 2am on Tuesday morning.
  • Crews are addressing icy conditions on sidewalks adjacent to City properties to improve pedestrian safety.

On Thursday, about 3 cm of snow is expected. Currently, the City does not expect to declare a Snow Event. Our Roadways team will be deployed as needed during the day and through the weekend to keep roads tidy and address any areas where drifting occurs. The City appreciates residents’ patience and reminds everyone to drive according to conditions for the safety of everyone and use caution on sidewalks.
