City Crews Begin Grading Residential Streets
February 11, 2022
Moose Jaw, SK – City of Moose Jaw Streets & Roads crews have begun grading residential streets.
Due to conditions caused by rapid melting this week, followed by freezing temperatures overnight, there is severe rutting in residential areas across the city, resulting in multiple calls and request for service notifications via the City of Moose Jaw app.
The most efficient way to address the situation is to have our crews and contractors begin work on the east side of the city and work their way west until all streets have been graded, which will take multiple days.
Concerns have also been expressed about the condition of back alleys. The City does not normally maintain alleys other than those required to ensure recycling and waste collection can occur. Crews will address back alleys in priority order based on collection schedules and will begin by clearing alleys in Zone 1, which has waste collection scheduled for Monday (February 14).
The City of Moose Jaw thanks you for your patience.
