Candidates Officially Announced for 2020 Civic Election

Moose Jaw, SK – The candidate list is officially set for the 2020 Civic Election in Moose Jaw.

The nomination deadline for candidates for Mayor and Councillor was October 7 at 4:00 p.m., and the deadline for candidates to withdraw was October 8 at 4:00 p.m.

There are 15 candidates for Councillor and three candidates for Mayor – the full list of candidates can be viewed at www.MooseJaw.ca/2020Election.

There are 10 candidates for Board of Director for the Prairie South School Division, and the four positions for Holy Trinity Catholic School Divisions have been filled by acclamation.

The City of Moose Jaw is committed to a safe election process and reminds residents that there are nine separate opportunities to vote:

  • Mail-in ballot. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is October 16.
  • Advance polls. There are seven advance polling dates beginning October 29
  • Election Day. Civic Election Day is set for Monday, November 9
