Buffalo Pound to Moose Jaw Water Supply Transmission Line Valve Installation June 24
June 22, 2020
Moose Jaw, SK –
The City of Moose Jaw advises that further development of the Buffalo Pound to Moose Jaw water supply transmission line will require a 12-hour shutdown on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from 6:00am to 6:00pm.
Westridge Construction Ltd. is set to perform a line stop valve installation to the existing 500mm diameter steel line, and the shutdown is necessary to ensure the safety of the staff performing the work.
Water supply to customers will not be affected by this work but residents are asked to be mindful of consumption as the City’s water storage capacity is limited.
The City will continue to monitor the situation as the work progresses.
This project is the latest advancement in Phase Two of the project, which includes pumps & electrical Upgrades. Phase One – installation of the new transmission line from the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant to the City’s High Service Reservoir – was completed in 2018.
Thank you for your patience while the City works to rebuild our infrastructure to ensure reliable services for our residents.
