Bridge and Subway Work Continues – Six Bridge Washing Locations Completed to Date

The City of Moose Jaw is providing an update on traffic impacts for bridge and subway work in 2026, including bridge washing and capital rehabilitation projects.
CAPITAL REHABILITATION PROJECTS
- Main Street S Southbound Bridge (the one-way north of River Drive) – work has started and is expected to continue until September 17.
- Corstorphine Bridge (Corstorphine Avenue between Rushton Street and Creek Street S) – July 28 – August 21, closed to traffic, but with access to be maintained for local residents and emergency vehicles.
- 2nd Avenue SE Subway (between Manitoba Street E and River Drive) – August 20-27, with lane restrictions and one lane of traffic remaining open at all times.
- Manitoba Street E (over Moose Jaw River, 300 block of Manitoba Street E) – August 25 – September 17, with lane restrictions and one lane of traffic remaining open at all times.
ANNUAL BRIDGE WASHING
- Manitoba Street E (over Moose Jaw River, 800 block of Manitoba Street E) – Ongoing until August 15. Traffic will remain open to a single lane of travel at a time with flaggers on site during work.
- 7th Avenue SW Bridge (Wakamow Valley south of Valleyview Drive/Keith Crescent) – Week of August 24-28, with traffic remaining open to a single lane of travel at a time and flaggers on site.
- Blackfoot Bridge (Wakamow Valley on Park Drive) – Week of August 24-28, with traffic remaining open to a single lane of travel at a time and flaggers on site.
- 24th Avenue SW Bridge (over Thunder Creek south of Ash Street) – Week of August 24-28, with traffic remaining open to a single lane of travel at a time and flaggers on site.

- Manitoba Expressway Eastbound Bridge (over Moose Jaw River)
- Manitoba Expressway Westbound Bridge (over Moose Jaw River)
- Manitoba Street E (300 block) Bridge
- Athabasca Street E Subway (300 block Athabasca Street E)
- Fairford Street E Subway (300 block Fairford Street E)
- 2nd Avenue SE Subway (between Manitoba Street E and River Drive)
