MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw and Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce congratulate Brad Hennenfent, our “Notoriously Good Neighbour” for the month of February.

The City of Moose Jaw and Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce created the program to recognize the Notoriously Friendly, Notoriously Generous and Notoriously KindHearted Moose Javians making a Notoriously Positive difference in our community.

According to Karlie Kowalchuk she hit the #notoriousneighbour “jackpot” when she found her home in the same area as Moose Jaw’s Brad Hennenfent. Kowalchuk explained that
Hennenfent is constantly doing good deeds for those around him and nothing, including Mother Nature, stops him from helping those around him. “He is always going out of his way to help anyone in the neighbourhood. From shovelling the whole street when it’s -40 to mowing an elderly neighbour’s lawn regardless of the heat,” said Kowalchuk.

She added he’s a welcoming face to new residents as he’s provided assistance to newcomers with small tasks as they get acclimated to our city. She noted that despite the long list of random acts of kindness, he never looks for anything in return. “While there is no shortage of ‘thank yous’ going his way, I feel he needs some real recognition for everything he does for the neighbourhood and all that he does to make our street feel like a welcoming and warm neighbourhood to live in.”

As an official “Notoriously Good Neighbour”, Hennenfent has been awarded a gift card to Al Capone’s Pizza.

Moose Javians can nominate their Notoriously Good Neighbour with the Report An Issue feature on the City’s website, MooseJaw.ca, or on the free City of Moose Jaw app. And, to read the City’s “Notorious Nine – Nine Ways to Be a Notoriously Good Neighbour” – click here.
