Block Pruning Begins September 5
September 1, 2023
MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw advises residents that boulevard tree block pruning will begin on Tuesday, September 5. Boulevard trees on the 600 and 700 blocks of Coteau St W, 400-800 blocks of 5th Ave SW, 700 and 800 blocks of Keith St, and 800 and 900 blocks of 8th Ave SW will be pruned.
“Block pruning is an important component of maintaining the health and safety of our urban forest,” said Sarah Regent, City Horticulturist. “Boulevard trees will be pruned to promote healthy and safe growth of the trees and provide appropriate clearance over streets, sidewalks, and private property.”
Pruning will begin on 5th Ave SW. Vehicles should be moved from the front street of the 400-800 blocks of 5th Ave SW prior to 7:30 am on September 5. As pruning progresses, trees will be posted with no-parking signs the day before pruning is to take place. We thank you for your cooperation.
Residents on the blocks being pruned may experience temporary power outages. We apologize for any inconvenience.
