UPDATE: Agri-Food Park Servicing Construction; 9th Ave. SE/Coteau St. Intersection Closure Extended

MOOSE JAW – Servicing construction for the City of Moose Jaw’s Agri-Food Industrial Park continues to progress.
The project includes feeder main Installation, water main and sanitary sewer replacement and storm sewer rehabilitation. To allow for construction, some traffic restrictions are necessary.
Beginning Tuesday, August 17, the intersection of 9th Avenue SE and Coteau St. will be temporarily closed. The closure is anticipated to be in effect through August 25*, weather permitting.
*(Original estimate was August 20, but extended due to rain)
The City is also providing updates on additional traffic restrictions:
- Fairford St. East from 3rd Ave -5th Ave is still closed and under construction.
- Lorne Avenue from Manitoba St. East to Coteau St. East, including the Manitoba St. intersection (OPEN effective August 17).
- The intersections at Manitoba St. East and Coteau St. East are open.
During this construction the Route 1/Athabasca East Moose Jaw Transit has been adjusted as follows:
- Route 1/Athabasca East will continue West on Athabasca Street East past 7th Avenue NE. Temporary bus stops will be located on the NW corner of Athabasca St. E/7th Ave NE, the NW corner of Athabasca St. E / 6th Ave NE, and the NE corner of Athabasca St. E / 4th Ave NE.
The route will turn South at 3rd Ave NE, and then turn West on Fairford St E, connecting to the regular route.
Servicing construction is anticipated to be in effect until August 31, 2021, weather permitting.
The City asks all drivers to obey posted signage and exercise caution in construction zones for the safety of everyone.
