2,074 Advance Votes Received; City Issues Election Day Reminders

Moose Jaw, SK – The final Advance Poll of the 2020 City of Moose Jaw Municipal Election was held yesterday (November 5), with 400 votes cast by residents.

The total number of votes cast at the seven Advance Polls was 2,074, 850 more than the 1,224 advance votes cast in the 2016 Municipal Election. The 2,074 votes represents approximately 8% of all eligible voters in Moose Jaw (estimated at 25,900).

Election day is Monday, November 9 and the City of Moose Jaw reminds residents of the four polling stations:

Poll #2             Moose Jaw Exhibition Convention Centre – 250 Thatcher Drive East

Poll #3             Moose Jaw Exhibition Convention Centre – 250 Thatcher Drive East

Poll #4             Church of Our Lady – 566 Vaughan Street

If you are unsure which location at which to vote, use the City’s interactive poll map located on the City’s 2020 Election web page: www.MooseJaw.ca/2020Election.

The City reminds residents that Moose Jaw Transit is free on Election day, and a special Election Shuttle with service to the Exhibition Grounds begins service at 8:35 a.m. The wearing of masks on City buses and at polling stations is strongly recommended.
