2026 Infrastructure Renewal Week 11 Update

The City of Moose Jaw advises that the 2026 Infrastructure Renewal Program (including water main replacement) is progressing and has entered its eleventh week.

The 2026 program includes the replacement of approximately 1.9 km of cast iron water main and 1.5 km of feeder main.

Coteau Street W continues to be closed to traffic between 4th Avenue SW and Main Street S. The 4th Avenue SW and Main Street S intersections are open, and all other intersections in this work area remain closed. The Main Street S/Coteau Street intersection will be closed for one day on July 4, 2026. During this closure, heavy trucks will be directed to the 9th Avenue SW bridge via flag person, and regular traffic will be diverted around the site.

As of July 6, 2026, the 0 block of Coteau Steet E will close between Main Street S and 1st Avenue SE. Both the 1st Avenue SE and Main Street S intersections will remain open at this time.

Transit Stops for Route #4 – Westmount have the following changes:

  • The stop at the southeast corner of Coteau Street W/4thAvenue SW is closed, with passengers asked to use the stop on the southwest corner of Duffield Street W/4th Avenue SW
  • The stop at the southwest corner of Coteau Street W/Tapley Street is closed, with passengers directed to a temporary stop located on the southwest corner of Duffield Street W/Tapley Street (one block south)
  • The stops at Coteau Street W/Scott Street, Coteau Street W/Skipton Road, and Coteau Street W/Main Street S are closed, with passengers directed to a temporary stop at Duffield Street W/Skipton Road
  • The stop at Coteau Street E/1st Avenue SE is closed, with passengers directed to use the stop at 2nd Avenue SE/Coteau Street E

Pascoe Drive E is closed from Rutherford Street to 13th Avenue NW, with all intersections in the work area closed.

The Transit Stops for Route #3 – Atha West-Thatcher located at 13th Avenue NW/Pascoe Drive and 13th Avenue NW/Mayberry Crescent are closed, with passengers directed to use the stop at 13th Avenue NW/Regal Crescent.

5th Avenue NW is closed from Saskatchewan Street W to Oxford Street W. The intersections at Saskatchewan Street W and Oxford Street W are open, with the intersection at Hall Street W closed.

Drivers are reminded to obey all temporary traffic signage and exercise caution in construction zones to keep everyone safe. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
