Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that the 2023 Water Main Replacement Program is ongoing.

Crews have begun construction on the 700 block of Fairford St. West, with water main replacement to occur between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue between now and October 21, weather permitting. The City of Moose Jaw reminds residents that all area businesses remain open during construction and access will be available where possible. Due to the nature of construction and minimal secondary access options, some locations may be temporarily inaccessible during construction. The City of Moose Jaw apologizes for any inconvenience. The current Fairford St. closure is in effect:

  • Fairford St W – Eighth Ave NW to Seventh Ave NW
    • Eighth Ave NW intersection – closed
    • Seventh Ave NW intersection – closed

Water main replacement construction on Duffield Street is in it’s final stage, water mains have been installed and services have been restored. Contractors remain on site with concrete and asphalt repair to finish. Road closures in effect:

  • Duffield St – Tapley St to Fourth Ave SW
  • Tapley St intersection – open
  • Fourth Ave SW – closed
  • Duffield St – Fourth Ave SW to Fifth Ave SW
    • Fourth Ave SW intersection – closed
    • Fifth Ave SW intersection – closed

The City of Moose Jaw would like to remind residents that all businesses impacted by this work will remain open during this project and pedestrians will continue to have access to sidewalks.

The City will continue to issue weekly updates as the program progresses and drivers are reminded to obey all temporary traffic signage and exercise caution in construction zones to keep everyone safe.
