2023 Concrete Projects Update – June 1, 2023
Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw is advising property owners and residents that concrete and paving projects are ramping up with some high traffic areas soon to be impacted.
Concrete work on Avens Road has wrapped up with crews completing landscaping this week. Weather permitting, paving will commence the week of June 19.
Additionally, concrete demolition continues on Athabasca Street West from 2nd to 5th Avenue. Contractors will complete the project in two phases, starting with concrete demolition which will close sections throughout the specified area. Paving is expected to take place in July. Bus routes on Athabasca will be impacted during the duration of this project and alternate routes have been arranged. Also, next week construction crews start ramp replacement at the intersection of Main Street and Caribou St., and Main Street and Hochelaga St.. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane with signage in place for a reduced speed. Concrete work is set to begin the week of June 5 on two blocks of Caribou Street, 15th and 16th Avenue.
