2023 Concrete/Paving Projects Update – May 26, 2023

Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw is advising property owners and residents that an ongoing concrete project on Avens Road will soon progress to paving and another project downtown will begin next week.

Concrete work on Avens Road is expected to be completed next week with paving of the roadway to follow. Weather permitting, paving will commence the week of June 19. While paving is taking place, the roadway will be shut down to traffic and homeowners are being asked to park on adjacent streets.

Additionally, concrete demolition will begin Monday, May 29 on Athabasca Street West from 2nd Avenue to 5th
Avenue. Contractors will complete the Athabasca Street West project in two phases, starting with concrete
demolition which will close sections throughout the specified area. Paving will occur approximately six weeks
later.

Bus routes on Athabasca will be impacted during the duration of this project and alternate routes have been

Contractors will also be paving Brigham Road the week of June 5th, weather permitting.

Drivers are reminded to obey all temporary traffic signage and exercise caution in construction zones to keep
everyone safe.
