2022 Water Main Replacement Update; 1st Ave NW Construction To Begin

MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw advises that construction under the 2022 Water Main Replacement Program continues at the following locations (Transit implications are in bold):

Saskatchewan St E – Main St to 3rd NE – Both Main St N and 1st Ave NE intersection’s are open to traffic, 2nd Ave NE intersection will remain closed and 3rd Ave NE intersection will remain open. Affects Routes 1 and 2: Stop at Sask St E/Mall Rd out of service.

 

Grandview St W – 6th Ave SW to 10th Ave SW – Both 6th Ave SW and 8th Ave SW intersection’s are closed to traffic, and the 9th Ave SW intersection is currently open to traffic. Affects Route 4: Stops at Vaugan St/9th Ave, Vaughan St/8th Ave & Vaughan St/7th Ave out of service.

 

Seventh Ave NW – Caribou St W to Oxford St W (Starting May 30th)Caribou St W intersection will remain open and the Oxford St W intersection will be closed. Affects Route 3: Stop at Oxford St W/7th Ave NW out of service.

 

Carleton St – 9th Ave NW to 10th Ave NW (Starting June 1st) 9th Ave NW intersection will remain open. 10th Ave NW intersection will be closed.

 

1st Ave NW – Oxford St W to Hall St W (Starting June 2nd)Oxford St. W intersection will remain open, 1st Ave/Hall St. W intersection will be closed.

 

Caribou St W – 9th Ave NW to 10th Ave NW (Starting June 6th)9th Ave NW intersection will remain open. 10th Ave NW intersection will be closed. Affects School Run – Stop at Caribou St W/9th Ave NW out of service.

Fairford St E – 3rd Ave NE to 4th Ave NE (Starting June 7th)Both intersections will remain open. Affects Route 1.

 

Other locations selected for water main replacement in 2022 are:

  • Athabasca St E from 2nd Ave NE to 3rd Ave NE
  • 2nd Ave NE Athabasca St. E to Hochelaga St. E
  • 1st Ave NW from Caribou St. W to Laurier St.
  • Main St. S from Grandview St. to Home St.
  • Grandview St. E from Main St. S to 1st Ave SE
