2022 Tree of Significance Announced

MOOSE JAW – Today (September 21, 2022) is Canada’s official National Tree Day, and the City of Moose Jaw is proud to announce this year’s Tree of Significance in Canada’s Most Notorious City.

After reviewing nominations, the Parks and Recreation department is pleased to announce the 2022 Tree of Significance is:

  • A mature ornamental crabapple tree at 680 MacDonald St W. This tree was nominated due to its beauty, its perfect shape and exceptional size.

The City of Moose Jaw’s Tree of Significance program has been held annually in conjunction with National Tree Day and National Forest Week since it’s inception in 2011.

The Parks & Recreation Department encourages Moose Jaw residents to take notice of, and appreciate, our urban forest.
