“These numbers are highly encouraging,” said Mayor Clive Tolley. “I thank our City Council and the City’s Economic Development team for the work they have done to create an atmosphere of growth and development for existing businesses, new investors and our residents.  We know 2022 is going to be another year of significant economic growth, and we will continue to work hard at encouraging others to make a “Notorious Move” to Moose Jaw.”

“Economic Development was brought entirely in-house in 2018 with the objective to enhance a relationship-building and collaborative approach to growing our community,” explained Jim Puffalt, City Manager. “We have created an entire Economic Development team comprised of the Mayor, City Manager, Manager of Economic Development, Director of Planning and Development and other key department heads and staff who aggressively seek opportunities and help expedite projects.   With Council’s support and guidance, this has helped us lead and foster over $850,000,000.00 (including land, equipment, labour, etc. not included in permits) worth of development in the City of Moose Jaw the previous three years.  The key projects listed in 2021 were all greatly assisted by the team. “
