2,011 Vote at Advance Polls; Mayoral By-Election Reminders

Moose Jaw, SK – 380 Moose Jaw residents voted at City Hall Saturday, October 30 at the final Advance Poll for the Mayoral By-Election, bringing the four-day Advance Poll total to 2,011. Advance Polls were also held October 26 (556 voters), October 27 (595) and October 28 (480) at the Cosmo Senior Centre.
The City’s Mayoral By-Election will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021, and the City of Moose Jaw encourages all eligible residents to cast a ballot. Some final reminders for voters:
- There are four (4) polling stations (MJ Exhibition Convention Centre – 250 Thatcher Dr. E., Church of Our Lady – 566 Vaughan St., Cosmo Senior Centre – 235 3rd Ave NE and Minto United Church – 1036 7th Ave. NW).
- To find the polling station at which you should vote, use the interactive poll map on the City’s By-Election page – MooseJaw.ca/2021ByElection. A polling map is also posted in the entrance to City Hall.
- Residents are eligible to vote at any polling station, provided a voter transfer form is filled out at the polling station you visit.
- There is free Transit service on November 3. Fixed route service will be extended until 8:30 pm on all routes to accommodate people voting in the evenings. To book a Paratransit trip call 306-694-4488 by 5pm November 1.
- To receive your ballot your poll clerk will help you fill out a short voter registration form at the polling station. You have the option to print it off and fill it out ahead of time to save time at the polls – click here to view/print the Online Voter Registration Form.
- Polls are open from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. If you are still in line in the polling station when the polls close you will still be able to cast your ballot.
