Main St. Infrastructure Renewal Begins Monday, May 6 – Businesses Open

Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that Phase Nine of the City’s Infrastructure Renewal Program continues, and construction on the 0 block of Main Street N begins Monday, May 6.

Contractors will close Main St. N between Manitoba Street and High Street, with both intersections remaining open to traffic.

All businesses in the construction area remain open and sidewalk access for customers is available. Paid public parking stalls are available through the downtown core, including the 0 blocks (east and west) of High St., River St. and Manitoba St. The City reminds customers you can pay for parking with the free HotSpot parking app.

Infrastructure renewal continues, with detours in place, on Coteau Street SW from 11th to 12th Avenue. Additionally, concrete from Coteau St. W from 12th Avenue to 16th Avenue is underway, and will take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting. Mill and pave from 12th to 16th will occur at a later date.

Crews continue to complete 2023 Infrastructure Renewal work that was interrupted by weather, at the following locations:

500-800 blocks of Fairford Street W. Surface work is underway, including milling and paving.

16th Avenue NW from Caribou Street to Stadacona Street: Construction is ongoing with surface work beginning in the coming weeks.

Drivers are reminded to obey all temporary traffic signage and exercise caution in construction zones to keep everyone safe. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
