City Proclaims Gender Diversity Awareness Week
The City of Moose Jaw is pleased to proclaim March 25-31, 2018 as “Gender Diversity Awareness Week”.
The Gender Diversity Week proclamation was signed by Deputy Mayor Don Mitchell, and it states “Gender Diversity Awareness Week presents an opportunity to inspire, inform and educate society about the challenges faced by members of the Sex and Gender Diverse Community, and to celebrate the diversity of gender with all people from across Saskatchewan.”
It is the City’s goal to ensure a respectful, inclusive and safe community for all residents. To that end, the City of Moose Jaw has recently contracted Moose Jaw Pride to host a series of Diversity Workshops for senior management. By undertaking this education, it is our desire this training will provide support to our leadership to model the desired behaviours to our employees.
The City is proud to support “Gender Diversity Awareness Week” and encourages residents to join any of the local events that coincide with the celebration.
