SAFE VOTING

A safe By-Election is our priority. It’s important to remember that there are multiple opportunities to vote, which will help mitigate physical distancing concerns at polling stations on By-Election Day, November 3. For all available Advance Poll dates, see the Important Dates section on the right-hand side of this page. When you vote in-person, the following will be in place at all polling stations:

  • Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe has announced the province will implement mandatory masking starting September 17, 2021. The provincial mask policy applies to all public indoor spaces and will remain in effect until further notice.
  • Physical distancing. Voters are asked to stay two metres (six feet) apart.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at all polls.
  • Surfaces in the polls will be disinfected throughout the day.
  • Voters who feel unwell on By-Election day should stay home. Avoid not being able to vote by exploring other voting options such as advance voting or mail-in ballots.

ONLINE VOTER REGISTRATION FORM

Voters have the option to print off the online Voter Registration Form and bring the completed Form with them to their polling station to reduce wait times. The online form is accessible here from October 13, 2021 until November 3, 2021.

(Please wait to sign the Voter Registration Form until you attend at the polling station. The Poll Clerk will witness your signature at that time.)

FREE TRANSIT ON BY-ELECTION DAY

The City of Moose Jaw will provide free Transit on Municipal By-Election Day, Wednesday, November 3.

Fixed route service will be extended until 8:30 pm on all routes to accommodate people voting in the evenings.

Paratransit service will be available. People wishing to use this service are asked to call the Transit office prior to 5:00 p.m. on November 1 to request their trip. Trips are available on a first come first served basis. For reservations call (306) 694-4488.
