MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw is inviting residents to an Open House on May 20, 2026, as part of Public Works Week (May 17 – May 23), showcasing the vital contributions of Public Works crews, equipment and services.

The theme of Public Works Week this year is “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community” and highlights the solid and often unseen foundation that Public Works provides for our daily lives through their stewardship of essential infrastructure.

Numerous City services and infrastructure fall under the umbrella of Public Works, including:

• Streets and roads
• Bridges
• Water and wastewater
• Public transportation
• Parks and green space maintenance
• Facility maintenance
• Solid waste

This year’s annual Public Works Week Open House will be held at a new location, at Pla-Mor Palace (855 Lillooet Street W) from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm on Wednesday, May 20. There will be live demonstrations, games, and displays of the City’s heavy equipment, as well as food trucks.
