Residents Invited to Apply for Newly Formed Advisory Committees

Moose Jaw, SK – In support of the City of Moose Jaw’s 2026-2029 Strategic Plan and our focus on building a Resident‑centric Community, we are inviting engaged and community-minded Moose Javians to apply to serve on two new advisory committees.

City Council has created the Community Services Advisory Committee and the Operations Advisory Committee. Both committees will play an important role in shaping recommendations that inform Council’s work.

Focus areas of the Community Services Advisory Committee will include Parks, Recreation, Public Art, Heritage, and Accessibility.

Focus areas of the Operations Advisory Committee will include Transit, Public Works, Infrastructure, Recycling and Waste, and Accessibility.

Who Should Apply?

Residents of Moose Jaw who are:

  • 16 years of age or older.
  • Canadian citizens.
  • Full‑time residents of Moose Jaw.
  • Committed to providing informed, thoughtful recommendations that help guide the City’s future.
  • Interested in topics such as recreation, public art, culture, transit, infrastructure, or accessibility.
  • Collaborative and community‑minded.

 

City Council values inclusivity, respect and trust and invites participation from community members in the decision-making process. Nominees will have been recruited through an inclusive, transparent, and equitable process and appointments made by City Council will reflect these objectives.
