Paved Roadways Project Begins on 9th Avenue NE on September 8

MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that the Paved Roadways Project is expected to move to 9th Avenue NE on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The City’s contractor, Cypress Paving, is expected to complete work on 9th Avenue NE between Hochelaga Street E and Oxford Street E from September 8 to September 11 (weather permitting).
Intersection access while roadwork progresses includes:
- Hochelaga Street E & 9thAvenue NE – open to south and west
- Caribou Street E & 8thAvenue NE – open to south and west. Local traffic only to east.
- Caribou Street E & 9thAvenue NE – intersection closed.
- Caribou Street E & 10thAvenue NE – open to north and east. Local traffic only to west.
- Ross Street E & 9thAvenue NE – intersection closed.
- Ross Street E & 10thAvenue NE – open to north, south, and east. Local traffic only to west.
- Oxford Street E & 9thAvenue NE – open to north and east.
The Transit Route 1 – Athabasca East stop at 9th Avenue NE/Caribou Street E will be temporarily closed for this project. Passengers should use the nearest stop at Caribou Street E/10th Avenue NE.
Residents are reminded to remain outside of the barricades and follow all temporary signage for the safety of everyone. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.

In total, the 2026 Paved Roadways Project includes the rehabilitation of approximately 3.977 kilometers of roadways and may include other services such as replacement and renewal of deficient sidewalks, curbs and gutters.
