MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw snow clearing operations are underway following snowfall that began on Wednesday, December 18 and residents can follow along operational efforts with a new Snow Clearing Progress map.

A map is available to view on the Streets & Roads page on the City’s website, click here. It will be updated every 24 hours following storm events that trigger snow plowing operations in priority sequence.

Snow and winds ended at 3:00 am on December 19 and at that time crews shifted from storm response in blocked/drifted areas and arterial roadways to clearing routes in priority sequence following the Winter Maintenance Policy.

As of Thursday morning, crews continue to clear Priority 1 routes. Starting at midnight, crews will begin clearing and hauling snow from Main Street N in the downtown core. This area will be closed to traffic during this time, and we ask that vehicles refrain from parking on Main Street N overnight.

Crews are on track to begin clearing Priority 2 routes Friday morning as expected, a reminder there is no-parking on these routes as of 7am. Crews will proceed on to Priority 3 routes on Saturday and Priority 4 routes on Sunday, please refrain from parking on these routes as of 7am each day.
