MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw is providing an update on road conditions and winter operations following last night’s snowfall.

According to the City’s Winter Service Level, a Snow Event is declared only when at least 5 cm of snow accumulates on City roads. Last night’s snowfall was minimal and did not meet the threshold; however, Roadways crews are addressing areas affected by drifting and continue to respond to icy conditions.

More snow is anticipated over the next 24 hours, and the City will continue to monitor the weather and respond accordingly.

The City appreciates residents’ patience and reminds everyone to drive according to conditions and use caution on sidewalks to ensure everyone’s safety.

Facility Updates:

• The Kinsmen Sportsplex Pool and Yara Centre reopened at 9 am on December 18.
• The PlaMor Palace and Kinsmen Arena are scheduled to reopen at 12 pm on December 18.
• All morning programs at City-owned recreation facilities have been cancelled on December 18.

Transit Service:
Regular Transit service resumed as of 7 am on December 18.

Waste & Recycling Collection:
Residential collection resumed at 6 am today, starting with Recycle Zone 3 and Garbage Zone 6, followed by Recycle Zone 5 and Garbage Zone 7.
