Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that Phase 10 of the Infrastructure Renewal Program (including water main replacement) is progressing.

Phase 10 will include the replacement of approximately 1.4 kilometers of cast iron pipe and 700m of feeder main at the following locations:

• Coteau St. W from 8^thAvenue SW to 4^th Avenue SW
• 6^thAvenue SW from Coteau St. W to Grandview St. W
• 4^thAvenue SW from Coteau St. W to Duffield St.
• Fairford St. W from Main St. N to 4^thAvenue NW

Construction continues at the Intersection of Main St. N and Fairford St. W and will be moving west. The 0 block of Fairford St. W is closed to traffic, including the Main St./Fairford St. intersection, while the 1^st Avenue NW and Fairford St. W intersection will remain open. The Main St. and Fairford St. intersection is expected to reopen to traffic the week of May 26, weather permitting.

Only local traffic will be permitted in the alleyways and parking lot off 1st Avenue NW and Fairford St. W to facilitate operations for the Moose Jaw Police Service, ensuring access to the police station.

Road closure signs are posted on Main Street at the High Street and Ominica Street intersections; however, sidewalks remain open. The City of Moose Jaw reminds residents that all area businesses remain open during construction and access will be available via sidewalks and temporary walkways.

The transfer point for all Moose Jaw Transit routes is temporarily moved to 1^st Ave NW in front of Temple Gardens Centre as of May 5. Northbound bus stops at Main St N/Cordova St and Main St N/Athabasca St E will be temporarily out of service during this time.

Crews are also working at 4^th Avenue SW from Coteau St. to Duffield St. The Coteau St. and 4^th Avenue SW intersection will remain open at this time. Contractors have closed 6^th Avenue SW from Grandview Street to Coteau Street as well. However, the Coteau Street and 6^th Avenue SW intersection will remain open.

Drivers are reminded to obey all temporary traffic signage and exercise caution in construction zones to keep everyone safe. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
